Sri Lanka has ever asked a Chinese boat to leave the southern port of Hambantota when it had been found to be carrying radioactive material, officials said Wednesday.

Anil Ranjiththe top officer of the SriLanka Atomic Energy Authority (SLAEA), said that the boat was on its solution into China from the interface of Rotterdam as it developed technical difficulties and entered the Hambantota Port.

The SLAEA reported that the ship had neglected to reveal its own radioactive freight as it erupts in at the interface.

The boat was handled by the China Merchants Port Holding Company.

the primary resistance leader Sajith Premadasa said in parliament that the Sri Lanka Navy, who’s responsible for the Hambantota port security, had been permitted to perform testimonials on the boat.

“The community representative of this boat hadn’t informed the clear presence of dangerous freight onboard freight if they sought permission by the Harbour Master to go into the port”

Ranjith said it had been a commercial boat, which transported radioactive material — that the specific material functioned as fuel for atomic power plants.
