Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Friday there has been no business answer from the Centre into the requirement for continuing prices of coronavirus vaccines.

He said that the Serum Institute of India has advised it provides Covishield vaccine into their country just after May 2-4 whilst the Centre has reserved all of the production till the date.

Tope was talking with reporters after engaging in a digital meeting maintained by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the countries worst hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Each of the significant countries have required’one nation-one speed’ for vaccine, but obtained no business response from the center,” he explained.

“We’ve got cases of Israel and also the UK where vaccination was performed at a huge scale. If the prices are not reduced, we can buy more offenses,” Tope reported.
