The Centre has asked the countries to vaccinate people from the 18-44 age category, also Maharashtra has approximately five crore people within this category therefore that it would want at least 10 crore doses,” Tope farther said.

“The country fund department might need to examine the load of drug cost and choose decision,” he further added.

Poonawalla advised that production till May 2-4 was booked by the Centre because of the own vaccination drive covering people above 45 decades old.
