The judgment BJD at Odisha on Monday said it is not going to hold people rallies or campaign meetings beforehand of this by-polls into this Pipili assembly segment on May 1-3 at the aftermath of the exponential increase in COVID-19 events from their country.

The statement in this respect was made by BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik by way of a set of social networking articles on Twitter.

The judgment BJD’s statement came a day after Congress pioneer Rahul Gandhi suspended all election campaigns from West Bengal.

The Pipili by-polls, that were originally scheduled to be held on April 17, was adjourned till May 1 3 after a demise of Congress offender Ajit Mangaraj, that appeared to COVID-19, on April 14.
