Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday reported that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will add 250 beds into the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel COVID Hospital on Saturday evening.

The complete amount of beds at the hospital can proceed upto 500.

“The DRDO is adding the following 250 beds after in the day now at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel COVID Hospital at New Delhi, carrying the complete amount of beds into 500. In Gujarat, a 1,000-bed hospital is now usable,” the ministry said in an tweet.

DRDO re opened its Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid Hospital at Delhi Cantt at light of the spike in coronavirus cases. The center has been shut at the first week of February later COVID-19 cases came .
