An avalanche happened within a region near to this Niti valley close to the indochina boundary in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district Friday.

Information was received around part of a glacier falling beyond Sumna Chawki close Malari from the Niti valley, Border Roads Organisation (b ro ) officials, that have been in the approach to the location, mentioned.

No touch has been established with all the area because of heavy snow fall, they also added.

A b ro official supported the slipping from a glacier within the place, where labourers are engaged in road construction work.

A b ro team has been hurried to the area but there isn’t any hint yet on the damage caused,” he explained.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat tweeted the episode, saying an alarm was issued and also he could be in constant touch with the BRO and the district government for upgrades.

In still another tweet, Rawat said Union Home Minister Amit Shah has obtained immediate cognizance of this episode and ensured their condition of help.

Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said he’s tracking the situation closely.

“regrettable a tragedy has hit Reni Village of all Uttarakhand because of glacier burst Dhauliganga river.

“I’m tracking the situation closely. CWC is on alarm and also a team headed by a secretary degree officer has had control of this circumstance,” he composed on Twitter.

Back in February, a glacier burst killed almost 80 people in Chamoli while a lot went lost.
