Energy efficiency of defence systems and field configurations can reduce the range of troops which have to encourage the soldiers working on the front line, said Vice Army Chief Lt Gen C P Mohanty on Friday.

The Army should target for energy efficiency through renewable resources, substituting its heritage transport fleet, progress its renewable and energy army technologies, and research radio transmission of energy in forwards are as, Mohanty noted.
