Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has called a six member committee under the chairmanship of both Sudarshan Sen prior RBI executive manager to examine regulations asset reconstruction companies (ARCs).
The committee will examine valid and regulatory framework of ARCs and urge measures to increase their efficiency and their job in settlement of assets that are stressed including under Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
Other members of this committee have been
executive manager Vishakha Mulye, former SBI D-MD PN Prasad, EY partner Abizer Diwanji,” MDI professor of economics Rohit Prasad and chartered accountant dtc Anand.
The committee needed to submit its report within 3 weeks from the day of its original meeting. RBI had announced an overview of ARC regulations in its own April fiscal policy inspection.
